FAQs
Where can I find your waiver?
You can fill out our electronic waiver here...
Where do I drop my child off for programs?
Drop-off and pick-up for participants at our municipal partners is at the skatepark, not the rec center. Pick up and drop-off for all SquareHouse programs are at the Boulder or Denver SquareHouse.
If it is your first time attending programs, please plan to be a few minutes early to meet and talk with counselors and review policies before leaving.
What Time are your programs?
Camps: Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm, with an Extended Care option available at the SquareHouse locations until 5pm on Monday-Thursday (additional $20/day)
Lessons: Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 10am
Private Session: By appointment Saturday & Sunday mornings
After School Club: Monday - Friday, 4-6:30pm in Boulder & Denver
Monday, 4-5:30pm in Frederick
Tuesday, 4-5:30pm in Arvada
Wednesday, 4-5:30pm in Lafayette
Thursday, 4-5:40pm in Lyons
What equipment will the participant need to bring?
Please be prepared by bringing your own skateboard and helmet. While we do have some “loaner” boards available, coming with your own quality skateboard (not from a department store) is ideal. While bicycle helmets will work, we recommend a properly fitting skateboard helmet that will protect against skate-related falls. Knee and elbow pads, as well as wrist guards, are recommended. Closed toed shoes are required for skateboarding.
Please bring a water bottle to all programs.
For Full Day Skate Camps, please also come prepared with a healthy lunch that does not require refrigeration. Some snacks are provided, but extras never hurt.
What child to counselor ratios do you keep?
You child’s safety is paramount to us. Because of that, we keep ratios less than 8:1, typically aiming for 5:1.
How can I purchase Square State Skate merchandise?
We have skateboards, shirts, and hats that we sell at our Squarehouse Warehouse. We now also offer an “upgrade” option when you register, whereupon you can purchase these items before camp.
Where can I see photos of camp?
We post photos daily to our social media sites. We also print a periodical “zine” Rad Times that features not only photos, but also your children’s writing.
How can I make changes to my camper's session?
We staff our programs accordingly, so please notify us as soon as possible to make changes to your registration. Refunds cannot be given for cancelations within one month of the program start. We require at least one week for changes or exchanges. Refunds are not given if a camper is expelled from camp or lessons for any reason. Please email info@squarestateskate.com or call 720-441-4047 to cancel/transfer sessions.
In what locations can I find your programs?
We have indoor skateboard-only parks - our SquareHouse warehouses - in Boulder and Denver. We also operate through municipal rec centers in Arvada, Frederick, Golden, Lafayette, Louisville, Lyons, and Thornton. Want programs in your town? Contact your local rec center or reach out to us.
We also contract out skateboard programs and curriculum and can help implement a best practice system at your local skate park!
